The ugly side of sports is always just a click away. The Caps-Bruins Stanley Cup series proved that.

The Capitals ousted the defending champion Bruins when Joel Ward scored in overtime of a 2-1 Game 7 victory. Every game was decided by one goal and four went into overtime.

Unfortunately Ward’s goal also unleashed a barrage of tweets that were as vile as they were racist.

Ward is a Canadian whose parents are from Barbados.
